Get Ready for A Henry County Bicentennial Adventure!

The next few months will be full of celebration in honor of Henry County’s 200th birthday. The Passport Treasure Hunt is just one of the exciting events happening that you won’t want to miss!

Beginning April 15, Henry County residents and visitors will be able to embark on a treasure hunt of 30 historically significant landmarks throughout Henry County- our local treasures. Your travel will consist of visiting the sites, taking a selfie-your proof that you were there, and then going to the business who sponsored that location to get your passport stamped. Anyone participating in the event will have until June 23 to complete your hunt and submit your entries.

With each entry submitted, you will have a chance to be a winner of a $50 drawing, or the $1,000 jackpot! With a total of thirty $50 drawings, the more entries you have, the more chances there are to win. Drawings will take place live at the Hoopla Festival at Baker Park on June 25.

Rob & Heidi Simmons of Great Deals Magazine are the event chairs for the Passport Treasure Hunt. According to Rob, “this event will be a lot of fun for our community. We can’t wait for you to enjoy the treasure hunt!”

For more information regarding the hunt, visit the New Castle Chamber Office at 100 S Main St, or on Facebook at HenryCounty200, or the bicentennial website at HenryCounty200.org.
